Buffalo NBA players who were on injured reserve for the first time since the 2014-15 season are planning to return to the game, coach Rick Barnes said.
“I’m excited for them to be back,” Barnes said Friday during an interview on a local radio station.
“That’s really good news for us, that they’re coming back and playing basketball.
We’ve got to keep working and keep our focus on the basketball. “
They’re going to be good.
We’ve got to keep working and keep our focus on the basketball.
It’s a great feeling to see these guys come back and play.”
The Buffalo Bills have missed the playoffs for three straight seasons and have had their most productive season since 2009-10, when they finished seventh in the league.
They lost their second game in a row Friday, losing 106-105 to the New Orleans Saints in overtime.
The Bills have won six straight games for the fourth straight season, a streak they haven’t matched since 2013-14.
The Bills, who have struggled to score on offense during a four-game losing streak, lost to the Buffalo Bulls in overtime Friday.
They also were defeated by the New York Jets.
“We were just really frustrated,” coach Scott Milanovich said.
“We wanted to keep winning.
We didn’t want to lose to the Bulls.”
Milanovich said the Bills’ top priority is to get back to playing at a high level.
Buffalo, which has won two straight for the fifth time in six seasons, is on the cusp of winning the division.
The team’s offense has improved each year since the All-Star break, when it scored a league-best 111.8 points per game.
Milanovicovich said he has been trying to get players back to their peak, including drafting high picks in the second and third rounds in recent years.
“For us to get there again and be the better team, we’re going have to be consistent,” he said.
The Buffalo Bulls, the reigning conference champions, have had to replace some of their stars.
The Bulls, who are trying to become the first team in league history to reach the postseason with three straight 20-win seasons, have lost nine straight games, including five straight by a combined score of 96-90.
The Bulls are tied with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the most wins in the NBA, but they’re also in the middle of a losing streak of 10 games or more.
