Kentucky basketball players on new contract, the Cavs return

The Kentucky basketball team has a new contract and a return to the NBA.

The Cavaliers, who have won four straight and seven of their last eight, will be on the court on Friday night for their season opener against the Indiana Pacers.

The team announced on Tuesday that head coach David Blatt was hired as the new head coach.

“The most important thing we have to focus on is winning,” Blatt said.

“That is the priority, and I’m committed to it.”

Blatt, a former head coach of the Kansas Jayhawks and Gonzaga Bulldogs, will replace Frank Vogel, who was fired on Sunday.

He replaces a veteran, former NBA player and two-time national champion, Tony Bennett.

Blatt will be the youngest head coach in NBA history to lead a team to a championship.

He had previously coached the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks.

Blatchts first stint with the Cavs came in 2009 when he was hired to coach the Los Angeles Lakers.

Blatts won a championship in his first season with the team, the 2007 NBA Finals, but he was fired in the offseason for poor performance.

Blas was a five-time All-Star with the Lakers and averaged 23.8 points and 10.3 rebounds in a championship season.

He was hired in December 2008 as an assistant to Blatt.

Blatti also was a four-time NBA champion, but was fired after the 2008-09 season.

The Cavs are the latest team in the league to be sold and rebuild.

They have been through five coaches in their history and have finished in the top five in the Western Conference only twice.

They had lost eight of their previous 10 games.

The other team that was sold is the Minnesota Timberwolves, which announced in January that it had sold the team.

Minnesota announced Tuesday that it would not be re-signing head coach Terry Stotts.

Stotting was the longest-tenured coach in the NBA, but the Timberwolves hired Blatt in December to replace him.

The Timberwolves also announced they will not be bringing in the veteran point guard Kevin Love to coach.

The NBA has not yet announced who will be named the new general manager of the Cavaliers.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have a new coach and a new team.

The organization announced Tuesday it has hired David Blatty as its new head basketball coach.

David Blatto is a former member of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors and Golden State Thunder.

He has served as head coach for the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Brewers, as well as with the New York Knicks, New Orleans Pelicans, Los Angeles Clippers, Charlotte Hornets, Washington Wizards, New York Jets and Detroit Pistons.

Blatto was the head coach at Kentucky from 2009 to 2012.

He won three national championships with the Wildcats, including two straight from 2002-04.

He is currently the NBA Coach of the Year for three consecutive years, including the 2011-12 season, the league’s top coach award.
