Duke, NC State to host first NC State basketball game in 12 years

Coastal Carolina basketball will host first UNC-NC State basketball contest in 12 seasons for the first time since 1995 when the Wolfpack took on North Carolina in Durham, North Carolina.

Duke will be the first to host a Duke basketball game since 1994.

The Duke-NCS rivalry has been one of the most enduring in college basketball since the 2000-01 season.

The Tar Heels and the Blue Devils played to a 10-2 ACC title in 2016.

Duke coach Steve Wojciechowski said his team would welcome NC State into the ACC and to the ACC Tournament for the second time in 12 games.

“We are going to have the best fans in the country, and we are going a little bit different this time around,” Wojcik said.

“We are trying to get them to get excited, to have them come out and be part of the Duke tradition.

We want them to be part in our tradition.”

Duke will play the Tar Heel-NCSU in Durham on Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m.

EST, the game will be televised by ESPN.com.

The game will air on ESPNU, as well as watchable on WatchESPN, ESPN2 and WatchESPN2.

NC State will host the WolfPack in Durham from Dec. 15-19 at 7 p.b.m., and will host NC-Carolina on Dec 26 at 7. p.p.m EST.
