Colgate University’s basketball team will play host to its first basketball game of the season on Saturday at the John F. Kennedy Center in New York, where the team will face Cal State Fullerton, the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, and the Golden Eagles of the NCAA tournament.
The Golden Eagles will host Colgate on Saturday, March 17, and Colgate will play the Golden Ducks on Friday, March 16.
The Colgate-USF contest will be the first time the two schools will have played at the same venue since the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings played on the same court in the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
Colgate has been a member of the NCAA Tournament every year since 2010.
On Friday, the Golden Gophers will be hosting the first game of their conference schedule against the Golden Bears of the Big East.
The Gophers have never played a game against a Big East opponent in their history.
The Big Ten Tournament will begin with the game between Indiana and Indiana State on Saturday.
Saturday will be a day of rest for the NCAA Basketball Selection Committee, who are expected to announce the final teams for the first round of the tournament on Monday.
