Stanford basketball wins first NCAA tournament title in school history

Stanford’s basketball team has won its first NCAA Tournament title in program history and is the first school to ever repeat since the 1970s.

The Cardinal finished the regular season with a 38-21 victory over No. 7 Oregon on Saturday night.

The Cardinal (30-6, 18-4 Pac-12) is one win away from its second NCAA Tournament berth since 2005.

The team’s victory came against a team that was ranked No. 2 in the nation heading into the tournament, and it is the third consecutive win for the Cardinal, who will face No. 5 Villanova on Monday night.

Stanford is in its third NCAA Tournament since 2008.

The win puts the Cardinal at No. 8 in the AP Top 25 poll, and the team is also No. 12 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Stanford has won the last five NCAA Tournament games against ranked opponents.

It is the team’s first NCAA Championship since it beat No. 14 Kansas on Dec. 5, 2008.

The win also moved Stanford into sole possession of first place in the Pac-10 standings for the second consecutive season.

Stanfield has won 20 straight regular-season games against Oregon, a streak that is tied with Wisconsin for the longest in program annals.

Stanard defeated the Ducks at the Rose Bowl, winning the Pac 12 Conference tournament title for the first time since 1993.

The Ducks (15-14, 5-12 Pac-14) dropped a seven-game homestand to Utah and fell to No. 16 in the polls, a drop of two spots from last week.

The Ducks, who have lost four straight, have lost six straight at home.

The loss also puts Stanford on the verge of a second consecutive loss at home this season.

The Bears are the third-ranked team in the country, but they are currently the No. 13 team in America.

The Bears have lost seven straight against ranked teams.

Stanwood’s loss comes as the Ducks continue to play a rebuilding year after the departure of coach Steve Wojciechowski.

Wojcik was fired in December, but he returned to the team in February to help with the transition.

Wojcichowski was named interim coach in March, but Wojce is currently the interim head coach for the season.

He was also the head coach of the Arizona Wildcats.

Stanley is currently second in the Big 12 standings with a 7-2 mark.

The team has also been in the top five in the poll each of the last three seasons.
