New michigans star to return to IU basketball after missing 2016-17 season

The star of New York’s Rutgers women’s hoops team is set to return for his senior season, according to sources close to the program.

The New Jersey native averaged 19.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks for the Scarlet Knights during the 2017-18 campaign, but suffered a season-ending hip injury in the first round of the NCAA tournament and has not played since.

He averaged 3.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in the postseason, though he had a field goal percentage of just .823.

New Jersey is in the midst of a four-game homestand before the end of the season.

The Scarlet Knights face Ohio State on Thursday in Columbus, and are scheduled to travel to Michigan on Saturday to face the Wolverines, and to Indiana on Monday.
