The NCAA basketball tournament gets underway Sunday, and Wisconsin is the No. 1 team in the country and one of the favorites to win it.
The Badgers are a perennial NCAA tournament team.
In addition to winning nine of the last 10 titles, they have won at least seven in every season since 2007, including four straight in 2016-17.
In 2018, the Badgers finished with the third-best record in the Big Ten (30-8), behind Iowa and Michigan State.
But Wisconsin has not been able to win a title since 2012-13, when it fell in the second round to Michigan State in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
The Badgers lost to eventual champion Wisconsin in the Sweet 16.
Wisconsin is also one of two Big Ten teams that have never made the NCAA tourney, while the other is Iowa.
The Hawkeyes made it in 2008, 2009 and 2010, respectively, but failed to reach the Sweet Sixteen in 2016.
The Big Ten is a league that is mostly built around the Big East.
That is why Michigan and Ohio State are the two top teams in the conference.
Michigan is No. 2 and Ohio is No., 3, while Ohio State is No, 4 and Michigan is a national championship contender.

Wisconsin won its last Big Ten title in 2014.
After losing in the NCAA round of 32 to Iowa in the opening round of that season, the Wolverines won the Big 10 title again in 2015.
Wisconsin won its second title in 2017 and has won three straight Big Ten titles.
The next two Big 12 champions will meet in Omaha, Neb., in 2020.
Oklahoma and Texas will face off for the first time in 2021.
Oklahoma is No.’s 2 seed and Texas is No.(3).
The next three teams to meet in the tournament will be Texas Tech, Kansas, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.
Texas Tech is No.-2 and Kansas is No-3.
The conference’s remaining teams will be determined in Omaha on Saturday.
Wisconsin plays at Kansas State on Saturday and Texas Tech at Oklahoma on Saturday (4 p.m.
The Big 12 has the biggest TV audience in the nation.
The Big 12 Conference averaged 7.9 million viewers for the 2017-18 season.
The Longhorns had more than 1.5 million viewers in the season opener against Baylor.
The Oklahoma State-Oklahoma State game drew a total of more than 3.5 millions.
The No. 7-ranked Wisconsin Badgers won their fourth Big 12 championship last season.
Wisconsin finished with a 31-16 record and reached the Big Dance final.
The Huskies lost to No. 3 seed Oklahoma in the round of 64 and Oklahoma State in round of 16.
The Sooners beat the Sooners in the title game.
Wisconsin has won two national titles since 2008, when they lost in the championship game of the 2009 NCAA tournament to Kentucky.
The 2009-10 Badgers have won five Big Ten championships.
