UAB basketball announced on Wednesday that it had signed three new players and added two to its roster: guard Isaiah Davis and forward Ryan Martin.
Davis, a 6-foot-10 forward from New Orleans, is a redshirt junior, and he joins UAB’s incoming freshman class that includes three players: sophomore guard Tyler Czarnik, a 5-9 forward from Lubbock, Texas; forward Kyle O’Brien, a 3-star recruit from Georgia; and senior forward Josh Jackson, who is from Oklahoma.
In addition to Davis, the Blazers also added a four-star freshman guard, forward Jordan Johnson.
Johnson is the second player from the incoming class to sign with UAB, joining sophomore guard Chase Jackson, a four and a half star recruit from North Carolina.
The Blazers have yet to announce any new transfers for the upcoming season, although it is expected that several transfers may take place in the coming days.UAB will be playing at home this season for the first time since it played at home in 2007-08.
The Blazers will also play at home for the third straight season as part of the SEC Network’s conference slate beginning with a trip to Tennessee State on Dec. 10.
The home-and-home series will be UAB-Alabama, which began in 2003.
